Install Jelly Bean Android 4.1 on Galaxy S3 I9300 : CM10 Preview verison

You all must be waiting for official Android 4.1 Jelly bean update for your phone. While few of the mobile manufacturers have rolled out official confirmation about Jelly Bean Android 4.1 update to their latest Android flagship phones, still you need to wait a little more on official version. So for all those people who can`t wait, our XDA developer community has given options. Lets see CyanogenMod 10 preview version installation on Galaxy S3.

First of all big thanks to XDA developer XpLoDWilD  and TeamHackSung

Prerequisites

• You need a rooted Galaxy S3 Phone with CWM recovery Installed (checkout Galaxy S3 rooting Guide)
• Download Latest preview of CM10 ZIP file (at the time of writing Preview 9 was latest) from XDA thread
• Gapps Package from same XDA thread
• Charge your battery to a decent level
• Take Backup of your content

Now copy the Zip files to your internal SD card and move on for installation

• Switch off your Galaxy S3
• Reboot in to CWM recover mode using VOL UP + Home + Power Button. Leave power button once you see Samsung Logo and keep pressing home and VOL up button till you see CWM recovery
• Do Wipe data factory reset
• Do Wipe Cache
• goto Advanced and wipe Delvik Cache
• Now go to Install ZIp from SD card and choose CM10 preview ZIP file and confirm to continue
• Once CM10 is installed again goto Install ZIp from SD card and Install Gapps ZIP file
• Once done Reboot the system from Main menu

Wait for few minutes for initial startup...
