MythROM Ice cream Sandwich themed ROM for Galaxy ACE S5830

MythROM is a very popular Custom rom because of its killing ICS themed look and stability. Last year we have published Myth Rom Installation guide on DialAndroid website and believe it or not its a huge hit and till now we have hundreds of comments and lakhs of article hits. We want to thank Myth for making such a beautiful ROM and to our readers for making it a success. Read on for detailed on installing Ice cream Sandwich themed Myth CUSTOM ROM on Samsung Galaxy ACE S5830.

First of all Thanks to Myth for making such a beautiful ROM. Below are the features of this ROM

  • Over glow scroll enabled
  • Extended Power menu
  • Google Map 5.11 modded
  • Semi-Transparent touch-wiz
  • Market 3.3.12
  • Flash 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 (mod) is compatible
  • CWM recovery
  • ICS icons, Font
  • Message application with ICS style
  • ICS Custom boot animation & Keyboard with some other built-in theme
  • Google Music
  • ICS Gennie Widget, dialer, CLock widget, transition animation

How to Install Ice cream Sandwich ICS The Myth ROM on Samsung Galaxy Ace
Prerequisites
Steps to Install The Myth ICS ROM on your Ace S5830
  • Make Sure your phone is running on Android Gingerbread 2.3.*
  • Install the CWM recovery (see Galacy Ace CWM Installation Guide)
  • Copy TheMythICS_Lite.zip file to SD card
  • Backup all your data and charge your phone to a good battery level
  • Switch off your phone and re start it in CWM mode by pressing home+power button
  • goto wipe data/Factory reset >> click yes
  • Wipe cache partition >> Click yes
  • Goto Install Zip from SD card >> select the TheMythICS_Lite.zip file >> Click yes
  • When it shows install from Sdcard complete >> goto main menu and restart the phone.

When you boot it first time it may take 5-10 minutes. So be patient.

Thats it.. You have ICS on Galaxy Ace S5830 now., Enjoy

      Dont worry jusy remove the battery and goto CWM recovery mode and then just do to wipe data and cache then reboot your phone... wait for 5-7 minutes for first boot

      there is no prob with the ROM.. might be some installation issue... redo the installation after full wipe and it should be fine

      just make sure two things

      1. you have installed it on Gingerbread stock ROM
      2. YOu have wipe data and cache before installing the ZIP

    I have Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 with GigerBreak.XXKP8 2.3.3 Is it ok for this firmware? I were using 2.3.4 and it was rooted now it revoked back and my cell got unrooted. Do I need to root it again before to install this update?

    theMyth basic,advance and ICS black are all top rated custom Rom for galaxy ace..tried them all.(in my opinion even better then C7mod ROMS).now im using latest custom ROM by themyth,themyth 2..which is build on samsung stock rom 4.0.4.(galaxy sII used this rom).go for it thanks

      this is a custom ROM ans doesnt depend on carrier.. if you mobile model number is S5830 then it should be good

    hi i think this is a great theme but it's too much for my ace.
    Unfortunately I forgot to back-up my gingerbread OS, can you guys pleeeease make a setup that can revert this to gingerbread?

      officially only gingerbread is available for ACE<,

      Myth ROM is only a themed Gingerbread rom .. but all functions will work

      if you want to install myth rom then first update your phone Via Kies to latest GB

    installed and worked properly...but then after sometimes, my home button didnt work.i mean if im on some app,to open another apps i have to use the back key,its bcause my home/menu key didnt work,i have to reboot it to make it works again...i have to this way again if the problem occur.hope u can solve my problem...thanks!

      if you have followed the procedure properly it must have worked on S5830.

      If you have done as said then just remove battery and goto CWM recovery again... do full wipe and reboot

      Dont worry... Just goto CWM recovery mode again and do full wipe... then restart your phone.. I suggest leave your phone for 5 Min once its get restart ..start using your phone after 5-10 min

      if you can goto CWM recovery then do all wipes and restart the phone... if still doesnt work then please flash stock ROM using ODIN

    I installed it. it was the myth2 file. & everything is working fine. except google talk isnt working. lets see wat happens in future. wat shud i do if i want to go back to original android version? plz somebody answer
