Install CyanogenMod CM9 on Galaxy Mini/POP GSM S5570 Android 4.0 ICS

CyanogenMod is a free community based custom ROM for Android phones. CyanogenMod 9 is based on Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich (ICS) and is the only hope for few Android devices for which phone manufacturers have decided not to put efforts on ICS update. Well Galaxy Mini/Galaxy POP S5570 is one of them which will never receive an official Ice cream Sandwich update from Samsung (as per the developments till now). But our developer community has accepted the challenge and working hard to get CM9 Android 4.0 on Galaxy Ace Mini/POP S5570. Read on for details on how to install CyanogenMod9 on Galaxy Mini or Galaxy POP with Video Guide.
Many thanks to XDA Dev squadzone for putting efforts on CM9 for Galaxy Mini/POP S5570

//** This is still in Beta phase, so do it on your own risk **//

  10. I have a doubt on whether installing custom rom and rooting my phone are different tasks if so please explain me. the other doubt is right now the cm9 for galaxy mini is beta 7 so if it is to beta 9 do I have to manually repeat the entire process or will it automatically get updated to next beta version. how far is the stable version of cm9 release can be expected . Please email m the entire process right from the process of installing custom rom, installing clockwork MD recovery, and the complete process of steps involved in installing cm9. Please I am very curious to have taste of cm9 on my galaxy mini.

    1. Frankly speaking ICS will never be a good option for POP because of its specs.. CM9 is still in development for POP so cant expect much but still you can give it a try

  14. hi...
if i dont like ics and wanna revert back to cm 7.2, then can i use the same procedure to flash it?? (that is by installing cm7.2 zip from sd card)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. before flashing the new one you need to take backup in CWM recovery...then you can restore it in the same way...

or you need to flash a GB rom using ODIN later
