Install ClockworkMod Recovery(CWM5) on Galaxy Mini/POP GSM S5570

CWM or ClockWorkMod is secondary recovery option for Android phones. Generally it is considered to be the most important essential for installing any Custom ROM/Create device backup. Today we will discuss about Installing CWM recovery on Samsung Galaxy Mini or POP GSM. Read on for details.

Prerequisites

  • CWM TOUCH 5.2.0.8 ext file from XDA Forum  (File name - update-CWM-5.2.0.8-Touch2-squadzone.zip)
  • Charge your phone battery to a good level

Procedure
  • Place downloaded file update-CWM-5.2.0.8-Touch2-squadzone.zip in to your phone SD card
  • Switch off your phone completely
  • Reboot in Android Recovery mode by pressing Home+Power button (Leave the power button once you see Samsung logo on the screen and keep home button pressed)
  • Now goto Apply update from SD card
  • Select the downloaded update-CWM-5.2.0.8-Touch2-squadzone.zip file and press yes to continue
  • Wait for process to complete
Reboot your phone...

Now your phone has CWM5 ClockworkMod Recovery on your Samsung Galaxy Mini/POP S5570

    My phone too gets stuck at samsung logo... but after some time it boots up normally... and then again when i try to boot into recovery it repeats the same process and it wont boot into recovery.

    i followed dis procedure and it went well....now i ve stock gingerbread 2.3.6 with CWM-5.2.0.8-Touch2 recobery....can i flash cm7.2 now?? is dis recovery version a stable one??

    i have try to open sdcard update option by clicking home button but they shows E:can't open/sdcard/update.zip??? can u help me plz...

    hey plzz help i follwed the procedure ALONG WITH CYANOGEN MOD 7.2 . it reeboots as soon as the main screen appears everytime i install it. I installed with the same procedure on other galaxy mini and it worked., THen why my galaxy mini is reebooting plzz help!

      dont worry... Just remove battery and goto CWM menu and do a full wipe then reboot your phone

      suggest you to watch the video its nothing but a key combination to goto recovery mode

    I did the above said procedure as explained. After the CWM installed my phone is not booting. Its just stuck at the Samsung logo. Please help.
    My phone is not rooted. stock rom. 2.3.6

      Download clockwork mod recovery for s5570 place the file in your sd card root, enter boot menu apply update from sd card (clockwork mod recovery) reboot, then follow the above steps and it works
