This way Samsung will easily identify the warranty void case. So to save your warranty you need to reset the flash counter and system status

How to reset Galaxy S3 flash counter

You all might have heard of USB Jig to remove yellow triangle and reset flash counter. But unfortunately "USB JIG DOES NOT WORK WITH GALAXY S3 I9300". Yes this may be due to new boot-loader and as of now there is no solution to the same.

But there is a solution from the genius who has made Root possible for Galaxy S3.. yes from its Triangle away App from ChainFire

Steps to reset the flash counter
  • Download and install the Triangle Away APK from Play Store (paid) or XDA forum (free) {{ Please consider buying paid app to appreciate the developer }}
  • Run the Triangle away App from applications menu
  • Grant Super User Access
  • Confirm the model number (it must match what is shown on screen i.e. I9300
  • Click on Reset Flash counter
  • Click on continue and now phone will reboot in to special menu (refer Video from now onwards)
  • Press Vol up to reset binary counter
Thats it ... phone will reboot and now you can check counter by going in to download mode

  2. You mentioned that the JIG won't work to reset the flash counter. Does this also mean that if I brick my S3, I won't be able to unbrick it via the USB JIG method?

    (My friend has the S2 and I'm getting the S3 so I'm planning on buying a USB JIG for the both of us.)
