Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300 is one of the most perfectly sizes tablet. The screen size of this tablet was just perfect as it was not too large at 10 inches or too small with 8.9 inches. Samsung has delayed its ICS release for long time. But now when everybody is waiting for Jelly Bean Android 4.1, Samsung has just started ICS update for Galaxy Tab 8.9 P7300. This update came for Austria and you can easily install it on your Tab using ODIN. Read on for more details.

Prerequisites
- You can be on any Rom
- P7300XXLQ6_P7300OXALQ6_ATO Firmware files (Download it from Sammobile)
- Odin3v1.87
- Samsung USB Drivers should be installed
- Take complete backup of your data as you may need to wipe all data in the process
- Charge your Tab battery to a good level
How to install official ICS on Galaxy TAB 8.9 P7300 using ODIN
- Switch off your Galaxy TAB completely
- Press Power+Vol Down(the left vol key near power button) button together till you see boot options on screen
- Now Select Downloading option by navigating using Vol down key and confirming using Vol Up Key
- Confirm using Vol Up
- Now Run ODIN3 on PC and connect the TAB using USB cable
- You should see Added in ODIN message box Now Select the P7300XXLQ6_P7300OXALQ6_P7300XXLQ6_HOME.tar.md5 file in PDA option, Don't change anything else.
- Hit the Start button and wait till ODIN shows message OK and your TAB gets rebooted
- Now you TAB should run on Android 4.0.4 ICE cream Sandwich.

help! flashed ics on my galaxy tab 8.9 via odin and the process finished jut fine ,and the tab rebooted..and now its stuck on the samsung logo for an hour now........what should i do.???i woud really appreciate your help...thanks!

ReplyDeleteI just follow all the steps here and my tablet would't go to the new adriod. The tablet stay at 3,2 andriod. I try it couple of times. But it won't work. In odin you say something about yellow By my it is blue. I try diffrent usb ingang. But nothings work

my GT-P7300 was disconnected during firmware update now only black screen if i switch on it will go on downloading mode automatically. please reply and help
what happened if I can not do the upgrade? I have followed the instructions to the letters but odin messages said failed.
ReplyDeleteI have tried download the same firmware baseband version of my device "P7300XXKJ6" instead using the firmware you mentioned above.
I also have tried reset to factory setting to ease the upgrade.
